Can Get Back Health help me get therapy funding in my next NDIS plan?

Yes! As in-home disability support experts, Get Back Health can help you access funding for allied health services that support you to achieve better health, independence and quality of life.

We start the process by assessing the impact of disability on your current function and capacity and talking to you about your goals.

Then, we provide a detailed report based on our assessment results and your related NDIS goals. Our report will address all the NDIS reasonable and necessary criteria, to ensure the funding report will meet the burden of proof the NDIS planner will be looking for.

We recommend this process should start two months before your meeting with the NDIA, so they receive our report in plenty of time.

Do I have funding for exercise physiology, dietetics and physiotherapy in my NDIS plan?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with a permanent and significant disability and their families and carers. It is designed to support people with disability to develop skills and capacity so they can participate in work and community life.

The NDIS is responsible for funding allied health and other therapy services related to a person’s disability. These therapies fall under the NDIS ‘Capacity Building’ support budget.

Allied health services such as exercise physiology, dietetics and physiotherapy are funded under the ‘Improved Health and Wellbeing’ and/or ‘Improved Daily Living’ categories of your NDIS Capacity Building Supports budget.

If you have funds allocated to these categories, you can access these allied health support services. If your current budget is allocated to other categories and you’d like to receive allied health services, you can make changes at your next plan review. Alternatively, you may be able to access an assessment and report utilising some funding from your Core Supports budget. Contact us to find out more.
